Since launching my business, I’ve been focused on participating in business trainings, listening to podcasts, working and brainstorming with my business coach, and focusing on personal development. Combined, all of these objectives have been greatly beneficial to me and the growth of my brand. I’m constantly researching and educating myself on small business, digital marketing, social media, time management, health, fitness and wellness topics, and personal development/growth.
Lately, two of my favorite things to do are read a personal development book before bed and listen to a entrepreneur-focused podcast while I’m walking to work. When I first started out, my mentor at the time was always telling me that in order to grow my business, I had to focus on growing myself. It seems like a simple concept, but it’s one that is often overlooked. Personal growth is one of the greatest things I’ve done for myself, and it directly impacts the success of my business.
My goal this year is to read one personal development book per month. Some months I can get through two or three. Other months, it’s a struggle to get through one. It all depends on my schedule. However, no matter how slow or busy my business and/or life is, I am very intentional about focusing on a personal growth plan! Even if it is just for 15-30 minutes a day, I carve the time out to listen to a podcast (walking to work, in the car, getting ready in the morning) or read 10 pages of a personal development book.
Here are some of my favorite personal development books. What have you been reading lately?
